- First, these badges can be earned using only hand tools, so don’t think you have to go out and buy lots of expensive tools.
- The Scouts will learn more and possibly have a more enjoyable experience earning the badges by working with a consoler who is a woodworker or wood carver. Plus, they will see how much fun woodworking is and may find a career or lifelong hobby.
- Many schools still offer wood shop classes, and many wood shop teachers would be willing to help your scouts out. All you have to do is ask.
